Cruise Control

Until now the only option for add-on cruise control on a Gen4 58x LS swap powertrain has been 1960’s “pedal puller” systems or a modernized (and problem prone) version of that ancient technology called the “pedal interface”.     The Tap-N-Cruise uses the built in DBW cruise control in the  the Gen4 E38 ECM and T42/T43 TCM to give you factory precision cruise control.

No “lazy grandpa” +/- 5mph cruise set speed.  No side of road dead with APP codes.    No cheezy aftermarket cruise control switches required.   No knobs or switches to control how far it over/undershoots the set speed.

Just cruise control the way it’s supposed to be.

Supported cruise control switches:

  1.  GM Column turn signal type (1982-2002)
  2. Early Ford steering wheel mounted (1979-1993 including Fox body)
  3.  Late Ford steering wheel mounted  (1994 and up PCM vehicles)
  4.  Jeep steering wheel mounted switches
  5. Rostra aftermarket switches including wireless models
  6. Custom – DIY or OE Controls designed interfaces for your specific switches

Yes, you really can use the stock factory Ford cruise control switches on your Gen4 58x LS swapped Fox body to control the GM cruise control!
